There are some questions that are not simple to answer. Why is the sky blue is one of them. My nephew, when he was younger asked one of his school teachers this question. Unfortunately, she did not really have a good answer, and she said that the sky was blue because it reflected the blue water. I have a couple of problems with that answer.
First, water is the reflective surface in this instance. Second, if the sky was reflecting the blue water, why did it not reflect anything else, like us or our cars. I do not know about you, but I have not seen images of cars, people, or houses in the sky lately or ever. I have seen the reflections of trees and other objects in bodies of water. Because of this, I believe that water is a reflective surface, and the sky does not reflect the water. So why is the sky blue? Check out the following web page: Blue Sky.
