Which plants do best in your area of the world?
The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) used years of weather data in order to come up with a map that tells you how cold it gets in your area and gives you an idea what kind of plants can survive in your zone. You can look at it and find out something about how cold your area will get.
The video below gives you some basic information about the map, like that seed plant packages often include the indication of which hardiness zones in which the plant can be grown.
